MEMBERSHIP; We have 287 individual members which comprise 7 Affiliate, 13 Individual and 95 Office memberships.

For 2017 I am hoping to be able to automate the database so membership renewal invoices can be

emailed to members. Val Almosnino

LEGISLATIVE: There will be an update of the findings of the Current Use study committee.

CAMA committee is being revived by various requests about improvements needed. This has historically focused on evolving the state MSOLV program, but need not be limited to that topic, as there are many highly functional CAMA programs being used across the state for assessment. Please send your wish list items to improve the MSOLV program directly by email to Chris at NEMRC. chris@nemrc.com . Noel is the CAMA committee person for VALA, so she would like to be copied, listers@fairleevt.org .

EDUCATION: Organizing for course offerings is underway. As soon as the schedule has been confirmed, courses are posted on the VALA website.

PVR Douglas Farnham will be at the meeting to provide information in consideration of the Legislative session that is just beginning, explain the new electronic PTTR process at the myVtax website and more.

STATE LEVEL APPEALS: a proposed bill is emerging that would establish more state support for defense of appeals and for education tax refunds when values are reduced. This will be discussed in detail at the meeting.
